Have you ever had to make an emergency run at a trade show for last minute items you forgot to pack? Or have you scrambled to find a reservation or order confirmation when something went awry? Here’s a handy trade show checklist for what to pack for your next trade show to prevent mini panic attacks.
In a Binder include the following important documents:
- Hotel Reservations
- Booth Reservation (if exhibiting)
- Badge confirmation
- Booth service orders confirmations & contacts
- Itinerary for company personnel arriving separately from you
- Show Schedule & contacts
If you are exhibiting include the following in a Tool Box:
- Zip ties
- Scissors
- Packing Tape
- Screw driver
- Box cutter
- Extension cord or power strip
In addition to a checklist, designate someone as the trade show coordinator to handle all the paperwork, packing details and as correspondence between show organizers and the company. Having a single person in charge also helps to maintain accountability, ensure deadlines will not be missed and emergencies can be knocked out in a matter of minutes in the event any pop up. This will allow for the sales team to spend their time focusing on building relationships and generating sales.
